It's only a bit longer until 'the big one' - NaNoWriMo! In fact, the new site is due to be launched... er... tomorrow, I guess. It's already 10/10 here, but I know it's still yesterday at NaNo HQ. So... 1) Are you doing NaNo? 2) What's your username on NaNo? 3) Any idea what you're going to write about? -- 1) Yes 2) SianaBlackwood3) I've got an idea for a horror/fantasy about a place you can only visit once. Detailed explanations of this will probably make it to my PPT. In November (for the first time) I'm going to have goats in a story. Sort of, anyway.

1. Yes. 2. Flatiron3. I have a novel I worked on a while back, and am thinking about hitching that to Nano... Had to get to a stopping point on the current project this month, and made that! So, onward! Oh, and also, I wasn't planning to set up a monthly gig here, figuring that most of you will probably be doing Nano, so maybe we could just connect there, and/or comment on that in a thread like this one. What do you all think?

I work something like 4 hours daily putting in shape my material. The overall count stays the same at 1 million words as writing is counterbalanced by erasing. You can call it editing but I call it arranging as for the last 30 years I write bits varying in size from snippets to (mostly undeveloped) features that I now link to threads based on story, theme, character(s) and other variables. Given that according to my estimates there are more than 5000 of them you understand that it is a gargantuan task. I am furthermore wondering what is the purpose of all this as I care to publish little and receive less interest from the world. I certainly don't feel alone as a lot of writers (Emily Dickinson, Franz Kafka and certainly lots of others less known or utterly unknown) did do and will be doing. Anyway I gear to make a new shooting soon after a hiatus of 3 months or so.
